At Lift Richmond Park, we are committed to developing not just academic knowledge, but character, confidence, creativity, and resilience. Our enrichment programme is one of the most comprehensive in South West London, offering students over 60 clubs, activities, trips, and opportunities every year β€” many of which run before school, at lunchtime, and after school.

Keeping Children Safe at LRP

Lift Richmond Park is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We expect all staff, volunteers, and governors to share this commitment. Our safeguarding procedures are in line with the statutory guidance set out in "Keeping Children Safe in Education" (KCSiE 2024) and "Working Together to Safeguard Children" (2023).

Safer Recruitment

All staff are subject to enhanced DBS checks, right-to-work verification, reference checks, and safeguarding training before taking up their role. We follow all aspects of the Safer Recruitment in Education framework.

Staff Training

All staff receive annual safeguarding training and regular updates. Our DSL team undertakes specialist DSL training every two years and maintains awareness of current safeguarding issues and legislation.

Student Voice

We listen to our students. Any concern a student has about their own safety or the safety of another young person will be taken seriously, acted upon, and managed with appropriate confidentiality and care.

Online Safety

LRP provides comprehensive online safety education through PSHE and Computing lessons. Our IT systems include robust filtering and monitoring, and we work with parents to promote safe internet use at home.

Reporting Concerns

Anyone can report a safeguarding concern β€” students, staff, parents, or members of the community. Concerns can be reported in person, by phone, or via the school's confidential safeguarding email address.

External Agencies

We work closely with Richmond Children's Services, the Police, CAMHS, and other statutory agencies to ensure the most vulnerable students receive the support they need in a timely and coordinated way.
